no matter how inhuman & mean you have been
atlast, the material-gain are only to be seen
tried my best not to be unfair and unjust
in the process have I lost all my vitue and trust

before I go mad , I did try to change myself
here I am on course with god's grace & help
I too might be seen selfish here onwards
but I was told that's the way forward.

I no longer be centre of all the redicule and fun
though I used to get pain but chose to blame none
I am happy that I have learnt to live like common man
pain is of course there for ceasing to exist as human.

अबतक सहा हैं हमने बहुत अत्याचार और दुराचार
लेकिन अब न पीछे परेंगे हम अपना कर्त्तव्य निभाने में

अब तयार हैं हम भी हर इम्तेहान के लिए आज
अगर लड़ाई की भाषा ही सिर्फ समझोगे तुम
चल पड़े हैं मुक्ति के इस पथ पर , धमाके भी होंगे ,

A Super Power in Making: India

Well, I always get surprised to read the news of India becoming a superpower, though I cannot deny the exceptional growth rate of India in last few years, India might be progressing , but possibility of it becoming a Super power is highly unlikely amidst prevailing conditions. Though I must be one of the happiest men to see India Emerging as a World power but I am not very optimistic of seeing it as one in my lifetime. I do not get shocks now to see the serial blasts which rocked Mumbai again today. As I know the flawed system which we have today cannot guarantee safety by any means! I was merely 11 years old when Mumbai was rocked by serial blasts in the year 1993 and after that it has been occurring in almost every big and small town so often as if it is a necessary part of Indian lives similar to Festivals like Diwali and holi . Isn’t it a question mark on capability of Intelligence and security? There was a terrorist attack in America on 11^th of September 2001 and Americans are fortunate enough not to have again seen such aghast attacks till today. It is not only the fortune of America rather it’s their capability , it’s their hard work which has resulted in such a secure environment all over United states, this is the sign of a super power. India doesn’t get a one in scale of ten while America comfortably can claim for a ten while we want to measure the security and intelligence capability.

The problem isn’t the lack of intelligence; it is neither the lack of capability. The whole system is flawed. You can easily drive on Indian roads without having a permit to drive, you can drive an unregistered vehicle paying few bucks to authority, and can we expect a secure society in these conditions?? If a traffic constable on a busy road let you go even if you do not possess a driving license after taking some money, the accumulated amount for the day will be shared through the hierarchy and the system runs unopposed in a smooth manner. If you go to a police station to lodge a complaint, it is almost certain that you would be asked to give some bribe, I am writing this with my own experience. And I will not blame only the police , the guy who asks money for registering an FIR might have got that Job after paying several thousands to some higher authority. Hence he is liable to recover his investment. The chain doesn’t stop here. It goes up and up and upto the highest possible authority by some means. India is a country where a murder convict can go out on parole and party in night clubs, it is a country where dreaded criminals with political patronage run gangs from inside the cell.

The list is long, if you go to a government owned bank to make a simple demand draft, you cannot have it done unless you pay few bucks to the authority there. We are also responsible for nurturing such culture as we tend to get our works done as quickly as possible no matter for that if norms have to be flaunted. The system has become so outdated that the smooth passage of banned materials like explosives, drugs throughout the country is as smooth as urinating at the side of a busy road. If you have money, you can do the craziest things which rule book doesn’t allow otherwise. Of course the rule would be very stringent if you are a commoner and if you do not possess money to bribe the authority.

I remember an incident which occurred recently at IGI airport, New Delhi, one of my friends was coming from Nepal and showed his passport as a proof of identity. He was detained there for more than hour only because the surname of his and his father was not the same. I agree with the precautions taken at the airports but I do not understand how people like David Headely can smoothly move from one place to other and a simple University student can be detained without any suspected activities?

India is a country with more than a billion people, there are thousands of incidents happening unreported and unnoticed every day , there can be a thousands of scams running which siphons millions of rupees of common people , there can be a certain Koli killing innocent children and authority doesn’t smell a rat. There are companies which lure young talents in name of providing secure jobs and making them work as bounded laborers, there are organizations which fake people with false promises of providing jobs and degree and make them highly dependent to fulfill their vested interests . But the authority is adamant to take notice of such immoral activities as money is spilled everywhere to get all possible and impossible works done.

One of The most prestigious institutions, the CBI has become merely a shield for the central government , probably a bargaining plot so as to remain in power, are we safe then? If any incident happens, suddenly a hue and cry gets vocal, the media starts covering as breaking news and a CBI enquiry is demanded and after few days people forget everything and life moves on. I feel entire country’s media is busy projecting the prince of Congress party, I feel if they get a chance, they will try to cover everything he does, may be his breakfast, his lunch, his dinner or even his nature's call.

Media has got to show every bit of Sas aur bahu, they would also be interested to cover the marriage and Honeymoon of mahendra Singh Dhoni as all these covering might up their TRP but they will never be concentrating on the basic challenges India faces as a nation. Coming to the Mumbai blast again , media headlines will keep flashing about the deads and injured, about few lacs compensation given to the victims and will forget it after few days. Again people will start living their normal life, this has become a normal routine, can we expect India becoming a Super power with so many challenges to address and we lacking any answer?

Another work of Mental Hollowness by Nepalese Authority

I read news headline surfacing in Nepalese media about the proposed Dress code enforcement for civil servants and teachers. I really pity the authority of Nepal for their childish approach resulting such a stupid move. I have not been able to understand how this dress code is going to benefit the efficiency of civil servants and teachers .

Nepal’s so called peace process is in jeopardy, the Constituent assembly has so far been highly inefficient and unproductive since its inception. The primary goal of constituent assembly election seems to have lost in mist , the drama of so called big three parties of constituent Assembly has reached to climax and the people of Nepal who have been the biggest loser so far are left with their pain and agony. The Nepalese populations have been forced to witness the cheap and dirty politics of breaking and making of new government, the promises made during all the ANDOLANS are destined to be unfulfilled. At a time when people of Nepal have started to understand the chameleon character of their political representatives, here comes another controversial decision to divert their attention.

The recent decision to enforce a dress code in all the Government institution is bound to create further controversy and this will provide the political leaders to have some breathing time so that they would not be directly facing the questions relating to their incapability and inefficiency. The possibility of promulgation of new constitution is highly unlikely even with second extension of deadline. And as usual, these immoral politicians do not have any clear explanation for their repeated failures, I sense the decision to enforce this dress code is a part of strategic plan which will divert people’ attention from their failures. I am dead sure that there are many groups who will launch another round of struggle to oppose this forceful act by the government. I have not been able to understand , how Daura-suruwal or paint shirt represent Nepalipana ?? as far as my knowledge is concerned , daura-suruval is definitely not a dress typically wore by Nepalese mass rather it is a kind of imported dress from Indian state of Rajasthan, more precisely imported by shah dynasty which fled from Rajasthan and made their base in present day Gorkha of Nepal . And the coat being worn is definitely an English attire so how could this become national dress of Nepal?? This move of Government is undoubtedly a controversial move and the people of Terai would definitely oppose this because of a direct attack on their cultural values , the moment the terai group will go to agitation, the sole intention of inept politicians will be achieved.

Today, the nation is facing bigger challenges than the one forwarded by the Government. The promulgation of constitution is as essential as oxygen to a living organization. The corruption in all the machinery of Government has reached to the optimum level. There are Consumers group in every vdc and Municipality constituted by the goons of all the parties , and we all know how the functioning of all these consumers groups is ! A journalist is beaten almost to death, everybody knows who was behind that aghast act, but he hasn’t been arrested even after several weeks of the incident. These are the areas where government should ideally concentrate but Government doesn’t look to be aware of this precarious situation. The prime minister is often heard saying that his government is not a caretaker government which is enough to surprise any layman. The election of CA was not conducted to select a government to run the country rather it was held to have a CA which can promulgate a new constitution for federal democratic Nepal , obviously a Government is needed to run the country during transition but I am confident that the government doesn’t have a moral right to do any fundamental change which can jeopardize the peace process or which can further deepen the crisis of this poor nation. But I would be wrong to expect any moral move from immoral bunch of inept politicians!

Osama Killed ...World awaits many answers

Last couple of days has been the epitome of media hypes. The news of killing of the most dreaded terrorist, Osama Bin laden is almost spilled everywhere. But there are thousands of questions which would always haunt human’s brain and wisdom in days to come.

Before I write further, I must honestly admit here that I was one of the most pained men on this earth on the day of September 11, 2001. I have sympathy for the lives that were lost in that aghast and cowardly attack on humanity. I have similar pain and sympathy for the affected people in Mumbai attacks, or any other terrorist attacks anywhere in the world.

The operation carried out by American force in Pakistani territory has undermined the significance of United Nations and Security councils. Cannot it be treated as an attack on sovereignty of an independent nation? If this act can be justified by any means then it paves the way for India to carry out similar operations on Pakistani soil for the elusive Dawood Ibrahim and other terrorists responsible for mass murder in India as these suspects are allegedly finding safe heaven in Pakistan.

Why only on Pakistani Soil , the same rule should be applied on American soil , who can forget Anderson and the Bhopal Gas tragedy ? Anderson also should be treated as a culprit of mass murder and India should be allowed to try all possible means to track down Anderson who had escaped from India scot-free. And The security council of UN should be dissolved with immediate effect.

If America can not allow such activities to happen on its soil , so should other countries , and if it is all about might is right , then I have nothing to say on the matter. I then find all the international agencies working for a better world useless .

If the world is conscious enough then it should be able to decide who is a bigger terrorist ? Fred Truman or Adolf Hitler , Richard Nixon or Saddam Hussein , Osama Bin laden or George w Bush ? I really do not mean to support Hitler, Hussein or Laden but can the world close its eyes on the atrocities of American presidents in name of war against Terrorism ? Can the killings in Afghanistan , Iraq and Vietnam be justified ?

One interesting fact should well be taken in consideration while talking about Osama, the story of the rise of Osama should not be a new thing to the world. Certainly the role of American state would be a matter of discussion in days to come.

Remembering Gandhi

I am not very fond of some of Mahatma Gandhi’s principles but at the same time I hold the highest regard for his unmatched principle of non-violence and peace. I am certain that this earth will never witness a second Gandhi, the standard established by him cannot be matched and he truly deserves to be called as one of the greatest human kind of all time. The sacrifice and selfless approach for humanity adopted by him is unparalleled till date. I always feel scarcity of words while talking about how great a person , a leader Gandhi was and his lessons , preaches will remain relevant till this civilization exists .

I am remembering Mahatma Gandhi for a very special reason, how coincidently this remains his birth month, the world paid tribute to this great personality on 2^nd of October , his 141^th Birth anniversary. I was fortunate enough to have travelled by Gandhidham-Bangalore express from Mumbai to Bangalore on 13^th of October, it was also a coincidence that I recalled Mahatma’s voyage to explore India while travelling on an October night in a train named after Mahatma which originated from the home state of the great man.

I am fortunate to have read Gandhi’s Autobiography “My experiments with Truth “, A real master piece in its own right. Why this journey of mine refreshed my liking and respect of mahatma is because of the circumstances I am travelling in. I had booked a ticket from Mumbai to Bangalore which did not get confirmed till the journey commenced, thanks to Pathetic Railway system in India. It was a very unfamiliar condition for me; so far I haven’t travelled a long journey without a confirmed berth. Obviously it was a challenge. Given the urgency of my commitments in Bangalore, I was not in luxury of postponing my trip but tension grew many folds because of the fact that I didn’t have a confirmed berth. My sincere efforts also yielded no results, not even an RAC could I get. Seeing my efforts going in vain, I finally did buy a ticket for 2^nd class unreserved berth (Famously called General) and consequently boarded the train.

Second class as usual was very crowded, no place to even settle myself. I remembered the Heroics of Gandhi who travelled in general class while exploring India. Though his was a self made decision, mine was a compromising decision after not being successful in getting a confirmed berth. I started recalling every words mentioned by Gandhi in his autobiography. It is true that majority of Indians cannot afford anything other than 2^nd class for travel. The poverty line statistics show that above 42% Indians live on less than 1.25 $ a day. That actually gives the real picture of India that is how Gandhi had described India. The poor who reside in rural areas constitute the majority, and development of a handful of population do not account for country’s development. Gandhi did lead by example; he always maintained an economical way of life but high on values. The austerity drive presently seen in Media, and some leaders boasting themselves for being economical only to get a frontline mention in news do not actually go accordance with beliefs of Gandhi. I feel Gandhi was of the belief that the leaders should experience the challenges and hurdles a commoner face in day to day life that is why probably he advocated the theory of austerity.

The India of Gandhi’s dream has come to a full circle, the poor are still poor , their lives are miserable but the leaders representing them have become richer with every passing day. The poor are left with no option but to travel in inadequate facilities while their leaders do enjoy the highest quality service everywhere. The comforts enjoyed by them at no point suggest the extreme poverty nation faces. It is but natural that these leaders’ promises to eradicate poverty are mere hollow promises as they actually do not know the problem and hence are incapable of coming with any solution.

I can feel that one journey in trying condition really jolted me, I have complains for almost everything. The facility in the 2nd class compartment was below standard. The cleanliness of the compartment was very unhygienic, no of people were 3-4 times more than its capacity, the fans were not functioning properly, the condition of toilets was very pathetic so was the water supply. Of course people travelling in these coaches deserve a more improved facility, after all the humans cannot be treated as cattle as they are being forced to currently. I definitely want to salute Gandhi for his ability to face the challenging conditions though it was not mandatory for him. I understand that as long as these 2^nd class facilities do not improve, the poor, the majority in this country will continue to suffer. Here I have referenced problems in Indian Railways while the problems of such quality remain in every sector and thus keeping majority of Indians away from self patting campaign of India Shining. India cannot be called a Developed country unless until the majority of the population get the feel of development! In my opinion that is where India stands , a story of booming of a new economic powerhouse remains a hoax unless the majority enjoys their share of the rising economy, perhaps that is what Bapu of the nation also dreamt!

Democracy A Hostage by Three Parties

Nepal at the crossroad of history is forced to see a tumultuous political situation thanks to visionless political leaders of Nepal. After the constituent assembly election of 10 April 2008^, there was a sense of relief amongst people of the country after suffering the chaotic situation for over 20 years. People suddenly got optimistic about New Nepal but personally I never got convinced that a New Nepal is in making! The reason is very simple for my disbelief ; the people who run the country are the same who used to do so 20 years back. Of course, there has been addition of a new group in the set of old foxes who are literally responsible for the cause of a civil war that claimed more than 15000 lives.

Currently three of the biggest parties of constituent assembly are at the helm of all important matters of the state. Let us analyze the character of these three parties; probably we would be able to comprehend their utility and efficiency in today’s context based on their character

The Maoists have officially changed their name as Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) after they came into mainstream politics. The Maoists announced a ‘People's War’ on February 13, 1996, under the slogan: "Let us march ahead on the path of struggle towards establishing the people's rule by wreaking the reactionary ruling system of state’ following the failure of the then Sher Bahadur Deuba Government to respond to the 40-point memorandum presented by representatives of Maoists. The demands listed in the memorandum were focusing national interests; But Maoists were not taken seriously then by the power hungry wolves of the country. The nation paid heavily because of the so called people’s war. The poor became poorer, infrastructures destroyed, corruption, violence, donation drives all were harbored which is continued till date. The otherwise peaceful Nepal became a mine field. The credit goes to none other than Maoists. There are few positives changes though because of them, Nepal has become a republican state, a constituent assembly Election was held. But are these advantages beneficial for the people? Today people have become circumspect, there are many who think abolition of monarchy cannot be justified, the number of such population is increasing day by day witnessing the bizarre activities of political parties.

Now the million dollar question is, have Maoists succeeded to achieve their pre-defined goal of building a new Nepal? The answer is obviously “NO”, and it is unlikely to happen in near future since I haven’t found any of them with a vision. The bullet culture can yield them power for a while but nation will never be benefitted, others are also mastering the game and a never ending conflict is in the pipeline.

The second largest party is Nepali congress; I must say this is the party which has caused maximum damage to national integrity, Unity, and sovereignty. People of Nepal in spite of incompetency of Nepali congress voted them into power on many occasions but as expected they failed miserably resulting in the present crisis in Nepal. Ideally this party should have vanished from political arena; they do not deserve to be a political party since leaders of all generation of this party has been highly incompetent and corrupt. NC couldn’t run a 2/3^rd majority government in 2017 BS, the majority government of Girija couldn’t complete it’s tenure , again they got majority and that Government also failed helplessly. Ideally these leaders of NC should retire from political life and hand over it to younger generation. Unfortunately this party is still engaged in the same old game , the players are the same. I do not understand how many times likes Deubas and Poudel want to be humiliated, they do not seem to have shame any more . I simply do not forgive myself for being a NC supporter once upon a time.

Now comes the Third party, UML , they have progressed well to climb up the ladder of ethical degrading. They are also now involved in the same bloody dirty game of power Politics. It is hard for me to forget their chameleon character and power hunger antics after UML’s 9 months at the helm, the way likes of Surya Bahadur Thapa and Lokendra Chand were made prime ministers one after another with their support can never be forgotten. They kept enjoying Government privilege though nation kept plunging into disastrous situation. Who can forget the action of immoral Madhav Nepal who once notoriously went to Royal palace pleading to be made the prime minister? The height of disappointment is that same Madhav and Khanals are leading the party who were part of leadership during those unethical practices, can we expect an ethical move from them now?

I must be very unfortunate to have borne in this era to witness so many dishonest and pimps in politics of my country. The present custodians of country politics cannot be trusted by any means , and it is ironical that these three political parties are still at the centre of making decisions , country will further plunge into crisis. These foxes have taken Democracy as Hostage , that is what I want to say.

From Hospital Bed

So far in my life, I never had a situation of getting hospitalized until 22^nd of May 2010. But now I would not be able to say that , I had to go through a much traumatized week in hospital; the scary memories will keep haunting me in future also. But with God’s grace & the goodwill of family and friends, I am perfectly alright now and enjoying my life as usual. Though there is nothing so important about the whole incident, but it was definitely a first time and unique experience to be lying on a hospital bed for a week time. Hence felt like sharing on my blog. And it was that challenging period which kept me away from internet and regular blogging, so it would be fittingly perfect if I come back in blogging world sharing the same.

In the night of 20th of May, I developed a minor pain in my lower abdomen and I didn’t realize the magnitude of problem I was going to face immediately. I was thinking it as a simple pain might have been caused by indigestion and slept to avoid further disturbance. The persistent pain refused to die even on 21^st of May and it kept on increasing. Basically I am person who is very adamant to have medicines unless until situation gets beyond my resistance, here also I tried the same but it was not to be controlled, finally in the morning of 22^nd, the pain was becoming unbearable, my cousin Rupesh and my friend Shailendra brought some medicines from local dispensary as it is a normal trend in south Asia , almost all of us act as physicians sometimes, we have always some suggestions for any medical problems! Ok Jokes apart, Still the pain uncontrolled, finally decided to visit a nearby Hospital. But to much of my surprises, the doctor there without doing any preliminary examination and tests , started medication assuming a case of food poisoning , at last my patience gave up , decided to visit another Hospital , VIMS Specialty Hospital , my temporary home for next one week .

I must admit , the doctors there were quick to assess my condition and they suspected a possibility of appendicitis(Inflammation of Appendix) which was later confirmed by the ultra sound done immediately. The normal size of an appendix is probably 3-4 cm as told by the doctor , in my case it had become 11.4 cm, it warranted an immediate appendectomy(Medical term used for removal of appendix). I quickly made calls back home and consented for the surgery. The help rendered by my friends Pushkar, Shailendra and my cousin Rupesh at the time of admission to the Hospital demand a special mention, I certainly would be degrading their continuous support during that period if I try to limit their efforts in words.

Around 2:30 pm same day, a laparoscopic surgery was done and I was free of the ailing appendix, though the surgery was not a smooth process, as par the doctors, the appendix had burst open during the operation which made it a complex task but hats off to the Doctor Rajeshwar Ready and team who performed the entire surgery successfully and finally I was shifted to ICU . I do not have many memories of ICU since I was unconscious most of the time in affect of the anesthesia administered to me for the surgery. Next day, I was shifted to ward, here starts the real ordeal which continued for almost a week.

I kept lying in bed, not having anything orally at the doctors’ behest. For all these days till 28^th of May, I was on liquid diet given intravenous. A very strange situation to be in, completely immovable, lying in bed, a continuous intravenous fluid supply 24*7 making things more adverse. To add to my agony, the doctor decided to insert Ryle's tube through my nose so as to remove unwanted fluids from my stomach. I swear it was a horrible experience to have that tube inserted since it was not allowing me to speak smoothly and a continuous vomiting sensation was also there. There was another tube, the drainage tube inserted at the place of laparoscopic insertion which was checking my movement making me very uncomfortable but I had no choice other than bearing all.

Though doctors were enthusiastic about my recovery they were not saying anything about both these tubes’ removal and discharge, but finally my wait ended and on 27^th of May, the drainage tube was removed and on 28^th of May, the other tube too was removed. I personally started feeling that I was recovering well and hope of getting discharged and going home suddenly got some strength. And finally on 29^th of May, I was formally discharged and allowed to go home but not before a final drama.

I am thankful to the Hospital, the doctors, the sisters and support staffs for their dedication and efforts, I would have been a happy person if everything would have ended smoothly. But that was not possible because of the cheap commercialization of medical fields. I myself once had thought of getting into this noble field seeing the tremendous opportunity of serving people but seeing the cheap tactics of Hospital management and doctors these days, I really got disappointed. I am forced to think, had I joined this field and had I become one of these wolves, I would have never forgiven myself. it is good that I am not a doctor today. I do not mean to categorize all doctors and hospitals in this group rather I would like to mention my opposition to the commercialization of a highly revered profession. Still there are doctors who really stand out in crowd because of their nobility.

During this tough period , I have had tremendous support from my family and friends , though the physical suffering was mine , they certainly gave me strength to stand tall during the hour of crisis, their presence made me stronger and I could recover well . while staying in Hospital , had to experience many things , I saw a man in late 50s dying who was in next bed to mine , I really have sympathy for his family and friend , we do whatever we can from our side but the final call is always made by God. We can’t even protest since nobody is there to listen, a bitter truth !

After my release, things started getting normally with each day passing , my parents were here to support me , in their caring presence , I recovered fully . And the next big challenge was to get tickets for my parents, Indian Railway sucks I would be sharing my experience on the challenges we face with Indian Railways in my next post.

Atrocities of Nepalese state and Miseries of Madhes

On February 7, media entrepreneur Jamim Shah was murdered in Kathmandu posh area where the security should have been optimum , the media reports say police was not very far from the spot incident took place. Later investigation reveals the involvement of some policemen in the gory killing .

Whereas the main culprits are still at large , there are many reports doing rounds probably to divert people’s attention ! I do not want to get into Jamim shah’s alleged ISI linkings or him being anti Indian, no matter who he was or whatever his background was , the way he was murdered in one of the elite areas of capital tells the story , it shows the incompetency of the present Government and more so of the Home minister.

People in this poor country are living their lives in great fear and anguish, the incidents after incidents have just been instrumental to make everyone of us to believe that none of us are safe there in hand of the present political leaders and security set up. Still we are clueless on the murder of Jamim Shah , there comes another inhuman and coward attack on Mr Arun Kumar Sinhaniya in Janakpur . It would be imperative to mention the killings of Uma Singh , the journalist working for Janakpur Today FM that was owned by Mr Sinhaniya a year ago!

What is common in the killing of Jamim shah and Mr sinhaniya is the fact, they were from media fraternity and they were killed in broad day light despites the security personnel deputed in a nearby proximity !

Aafter Sinhaniya was killed, I heard the information minister who happens to be the spokesperson of the government saying that the new security policy would be implemented with a special effect . it simply forces me to smell a rat! I would like to ask the puppets in Home ministry, Mr Raval and Mr Ansari what has been the outcome of Special security policy implementation for last six months ? If none ? why are you there ? As far as my understanding is concerned this so called special policy is nothing but a tool for ethnic cleansing ! As in recent past , many orchestral encounters have been witnessed , there will be even more ! so will that ensure Mr Nepal’s rule for ever ?

After going through the recent happenings in country and specially in Madhes, I am forced to wonder if all these killings are staged ? I am not a person to conclude on sheer emotions ! Yes I am having serious doubts on Pahadi RajSatta ! I have enough reasons to doubt them! Two of the basic reasons I want to discuss here , firstly No doubt, the new security policy was bound to cross all the human limits in general and the most probable group which could oppose and highlight the atrocities of ill feted intention is media ! so this opportunistic Government has a master plan to get sympathy from Media people by staging the attacks on them ! Very complex to understand but a master stroke !

I strongly feel that the attacks in recent times on media is none other than handicrafts of the state so as to make the media houses to support the Government when they get in to Ethnic cleansing of madhesis in name of rescuing the nation from Terrorism!

Secondly the Pahadi Rajsatta no doubt want to create a confusion over Madhes revolution, they want to brand the genuine concerns of madhesis and their subsequent struggle as a criminal activity to force entire madhesi population in dark for another long period of time ! I am sure there are many fake armed madhesi groups nurtured by the state to malign the struggle of brave madhesi sons! But at the same time , there are many madhesi brave sons who can die and kill for the pure cause of madhes! It is just a warning to all the deaf ears in Kathmandu , enough is enough ! Play with the sentiments of poor and disgruntled, your future generation will pay the price!!! Wake up all!

Experience in Nepal

My recent visit to Kathmandu cleared many doubts for me with reference to Madhesi movement in Nepal. I was until my Kathmandu visit one of the believers that madhesi people have waken up and taken up the challenge to eradicate the discrimination. But I was disappointed to see the attitude of our madhesi leaders. I have now serious doubts if at all the present lots of madhesi politicians are capable of bringing about the much needed changes in the social system of Nepal?

Many things were said and blown out of proportion after madhesi revolution which has caused death of more than 50 madhesi revolutionaries. But our politicians haven’t learned anything from past. They are still busy reaping the dividends from the pyre of great martyrs for their personal gains. It seems almost all of them have lost the fire in their belly that was ignited at the cost of lives of madhesi sons! Obviously the revolution helped these leaders to reach constituent assembly and to some it helped to reach the ministerial berths as well. The result is cipher in terms of madhesi upliftment. All of a sudden, they have lost their paths for which they have been sent to Kathmandu. Still they follow instructions from the old bulls of Nepalese politicians, I am sure the souls of great martyrs of Madhes would be inconsolably in tears.

My disagreement lies at their meager fights among themselves. I am not sure how many fronts of madhesi parties have been made, but I know they are innumerable. It’s very true that pressure from different corners exerted on the mindset of pahade rulers counterbalances resulting nothing for madhesi population. In a personal conversation with one of the CA member of a major madhesi political party which has undergone multiple splits in past, I came to know that the party may further split. And unsurprisingly, the reason being the same that is lust for power! Can we be assured of our future given the fact that our representatives are so naïve, immature and undedicated to the primary objective they should actually stand for?

The need of hour is total renovation of the mindset of madhesi leaders, no matter which party they belong to , they should actually come together making some common minimum program. Their dedication to such cause would only pave the way for a brighter future for madhes. If this correction measure is not taken appropriately, a bigger challenge is looming. People will be forced to replace the present lot of leadership with a more competent, vibrant, unyielding and energetic youths for good!
